The importance of cooperation and collaboration between GCC countries was discussed at a meeting between HE Minister of Transportation and Acting Chief Executive of the Economic Development Board (EDB) Engineer Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed and HE Dr Abdulla bin Abdulmalik AlShaikh, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Bahrain.
With numerous joint projects underway between the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, regional economic development is well on its way to progress and growth. HE Minister of Transportation said that the Ministry is working on numerous projects in parallel covering land, air and sea transportation projects that will be integral to supporting such development.
“MoT is keen to strengthen bilateral relationships and achieve progress on several joint projects underway between the two Kingdoms, as these are considered to be part of the countries’ infrastructure in attracting global investment into the region,” said His Excellency.
“The GCC’s joint efforts in projects across all industries are critical in helping us achieve the growth and prosperity to which we aspire that will position us on par with developed countries.”
HE Ambassador AlShaikh thanked HE the Minister of Transportation and Acting Chief Executive of the EDB for the Kingdom of Bahrain’s continued efforts to preserve regional growth through the implementation of long-term joint projects and its commitment to supporting regional development.
