Upgrade Navaids System Project

Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunication, Air Navigation Systems Directorate kick-off to upgrade Navaids System Project which will deliver advanced Navigational Aids System that include instrument landing system distance measuring equipment, and Doppler VHF omnidirectional range. The new technology will enable pilots to navigate and land under difficult weather conditions with precise information from the localizers and glide path helping the aircraft to touchdown on the runway. The reliability and accuracy of the new Navigational Aids will improve capacity, reduce maintenance cost and enhance passenger safety.
